The goalkeeper Not a save to make during the opening 45 but then tested from Arbër Hoxha’s curled attempt. A sliding tackle on Qazim Laci showed excellent game intelligence. Six out of ten

The debutant Challenged by the opposition's primary attacker through their forward. Played in a central role early on then shifted out wide once a teammate was introduced. 7/10

The defender Moved into midfield with the ball at his feet, a familiar role previously. Sometimes lacked urgency when carrying play with the tactic abandoned after the break. 6

The tall defender Always dangerous from dead balls, typically, could serve as a replacement to his teammate at the back rather than alongside him. A loose distribution after the break almost led to the first goal from Albania. 6/10

Nico O’Reilly Another assured performance by the 20-year-old following his initial appearance versus another side. Saka failed to make the opportunity from a gorgeous touch behind their defense. The left-back spot looks secure so soon. 7/10

Adam Wharton A debut start in an England shirt. Somewhat sloppy in possession though his inswinging corners were a threat. A handy game manager for the boss to have versus teams who drop deep. Booked for a poorly timed tackle. 6

The midfielder Crosses from corners and set-plays created chances. Was given freedom to drift in left midfield but was in an offside position upon receiving in front of goal. Given a well-earned substitution after an hour. 6/10

The star midfielder Operated in a forward position down the right while also did plenty of dirty work. Displayed flashes of quality and dragged an effort over. Withdrawn towards the end by a teammate, his rival, after being booked. 7

Jarrod Bowen Was presented with England’s clearest opportunity of the first half, his strike excellently kept out from the Albanian keeper. As Quansah staying deep, he had to offer an outlet out wide yet his deliveries from wide areas were inconsistent. Replaced for the final quarter-hour. 6/10

The captain The decisive figure with his two more strikes for his country. His first a trademark poacher’s finish and the second a classy finish with his head having drifted away from his marker. At 32, he’s only getting better and the side stand a real opportunity in the upcoming tournament when he's in the team. 8/10

The attacker Had difficulty to influence play out wide. Had a good opening after being played in by the midfielder but the keeper made the save. His replacement made much more of effect when substituted. 5
